Y, oh Y can't I get my .7z roms to work with Zsnes 1.51?

Ok, I already asked the ? but I'll give a little background. First, .7z will not show as a recognized rom file when I go to load, so I hit "show all file ext." to even see them. Then when I pick a rom, it goes to black screen where the main 2 things I remember it saying are "Checksum: Failed" and "Bad rom"? WTH? Any help would be appreciated.

Use a compression app such as 7-Zip to EXTRACT the contents of the file. The stuff inside can be loaded into ZSNES, but not 7z files.
