Power On / Hard Reset = Tab Please don't. Soft reset would be a more convenient thing to put in there. Also, it could annoy people who reach the end of X-Men and just press TAB to see the final scene, when they realize they've just turned off and on the emulated system, rather than pressing the Res...

By the way, it kinda sucks that the emulator stops playing sound when the window isn't in front.

A real MegaDrive didn't stop doing its stuff when you left it "in the background". =P

Issues with official games: Wonder Library doesn't show a thing, and Game no Kanzume o Tokuyou hangs at the title screen and doesn't get to play the music. Somebody should check if any of those work on real hardware before jumping into conclusions, though. Now about some video issues. I have my desk...

Wouldn't it be possible to make a program that first locates all the instructions that "write" the music routines and data to memory, and then dumps those routines+data so you only have to emulate them? I mean, something like dumping the ROM data and its way to be handled rather than dumpi...

The 600x448 size is hardcoded into the filter. Let people bitch about letterboxing. Those of us with eyes will appreciate the proper aspect ratio and non-blurry scanlines. I appreciate proper aspect ratio, and I don't mind letterboxing.Actually,I love to see the black bars in PAL mode. If I remember...

I'd suggest to add an option to remove the scanlines in this filter, since that would make it look almost (or exactly?) like in PAL TVs.

I've just compared it in Nestopia with a real PAL NES and the visible artifacts seem to be the same or at least quite similar.

Hmm so the same bg layer seems to be used for both the background and the colums. I guess the real game must behave like that (although I doubt it was how the game planners wanted it to look).

Sorry for the bad report, then.

someone's retarded. the snes outputs a crystal clear picture as well. Looks like someone needs a lesson or two. It emulates both the artifacts inherent in the SNES NTSC composite output circuitry and the way an NTSC TV decodes the signal. You mind expanding on this. Exactly what artifacts does the ...

I'm talking about the irregularities you can see when you connect a SNES to a TV card. I believe those are also simulated in the NTSC filter, besides the "NTSC TV" effect itself.

Any plans to implement the NTSC filter? Minus the scanlines, which the TV would already output, of course. Um.. for the record.. why would you need such a feature when you can make a fair assumption that if you will probably be connecting a NTSC TV to the XBOX (unless you don't live in the NTSC reg...

I'm certain my TV does, and it's not that old. At least it did with the MegaDrive RGB signal, and it looked quite similar to the effect in this NTSC filter. Also, I'm sure that at least the NES I have does the other effect that prevents straight vertical lines to exist. I'll see if I can take some p...

No, there's more to it than that. Like the irregular vertical lines, the ghosting around the graphics and that kind of stuff.

Well, from what I've seen it might not be too different than just the NTSC filter without scanlines and interlace.

Priority sprite/bg bugs in Spanky's Quest

Another problem I've noticed that still hasn't been fixed in the last years is that there seems to be some sprite/bg priorities going wrong in the intro scene of this game. So there's this room with one column on each side, and the characters should appear behind them. Instead, they can be seen in f...
