What do you mean "even with slowdowns ran smoothly"? Do you mean it emulates the slowdowns? Also, ePSXe is closed source. well, for example, you could force the game to run about 15 fps (frame limit settings), which will run about 25% speed (aka "slowdown") on NTSC games ... am ...
