i'm looking through the docs as we speak, but a cursory glance into ~/.zsnes shows a few .zst files kicking around.

if you're using Gnome and would like it added to your gnome-panel, simply click anywhere on a blank space in the panel and then "Add to Panel...", followed by "Create Custom Application Launcher" and from there, you can input the command (zsnes) and the icon you'd like to use it....

I can't seem to figure out where my games are being saved.

I'm using Archlinux and due to my screwing around with permissions as root, managed to cripple half of my b0x. After setting things right and purging my old profile, I'd learned that most of my wonderful save files went with it. A friend is willing to send me her saved games and for the life of me I...

I whole-heartedly recommend Archlinux. Sure, it's not going to hold your hand the entire way through, but it's very minimalist. Also, as a bonus, zsnes is a package in their repo, so a simple 'pacman -S zsnes' and you're gold.
