It does sound like most of you have missed the time when you couldn't apply AA to many shader-based games (specifically those with HDR)... there were discussions on that (in the graphics card communities), and now you people reinvent the wheel? The reason for that was they used deferred rendering. ...

In response to N64 emulation threads on byuu.org
Since byuu added a dictatorship, I am forced to post my responses here. Thank you byuu. Even though I was wanting to be civil in the sections beside the bsnes section, which I completely avoid: I have to post here. I am somewhat glad it happened that a seperate forum exists: It seperates the riffraf...

Hey, I got SW Rogue Squadron working on Vista/Win7/XP by custom ASM hacks/cracks, so don't laugh >.< Wasn't Rogue Squadron made for Windows 95? If it was a DOS-only game, I'll be WAY more impressed. Not that I'm not already, but... Yes, it was made for Win95/98, with a Win16 based installer and all.

There was source for SNSF player, but couldn't find EXE version from it. If only SNSF format would work with MGME. That would be cool! 8) Honestly, I don't know how that would work out. Is there any source to that DLL? Assuming you turn that emu into a dll, it's feasible by making it use blargg's a...

To be fair: Starforce is damn good, protection wise. It stopped SCCT from being reversed for a year. Not to mention its VM hell, obfuscation are plenty, and ironically some of the SF devs were in a cracking group in the past. Got to love irony. Same with Securom. The same people developing it, are t...

Still, it can easily be cracked. I'd be more concerned if they starting using dongles o.okode54 wrote:Maybe changing system product key to achieve a different product ID number?Gil_Hamilton wrote:Which I'm still not sure what he's actually talking about with changing the system ID in the first place.

I know enough sense not to make any software shareware or commercial, since its going to be pirated no matter what. No matter the protection. :? I just don't get why devs don't get that. Steam utterly fails as a protection system, Securom fails, Starforce/Themida/EXECryptor/VMProtect fails. End of ...

And they still make money off of those games/whatever. your point? The point is, there will always be .............people....who buy stuff. Like the people who think piracy = bad, or the religious people that think piracy is a sin. So really, wheres the harm. And DRM ain't helping. Its always buste...

:( Pirating games by tiny devs? Piracy does not discriminate. If people don't get that, they can go in a ditch and die. I know enough sense not to make any software shareware or commercial, since its going to be pirated no matter what. No matter the protection. :? I just don't get why devs d...

I tried in_snsf.dll plugin for Winamp and it doesn't sound as good as Blargg's sound emulation plus it has lots of errors when playing tracks which use that streaming or whatever it is called. There was source for SNSF player, but couldn't find EXE version from it. If only SNSF format would work wi...
