The problem is: how do you determined which revisions you have if you own the real say, Final Fantasy 3 (US) cart ??? :? There are some numbers imprinted on the cart. A letter after the number indicates that it is a higher revision. For example: 08 -> REV 1.0 08A -> REV 1.1 08B -> REV 1.2

It's a compile time bug. Probably related to the CT Black Omen bug.

It's HDMA. The changes in regsw.inc in the reg43XAw function are the problem.

Just out of curiosity, what was this fix for?
It never did anything. At least for all post 1.17 builds.

Site is now here: http://users.tpg.com.au/advlink/spx/ The latest version available is 1.04 Preview Build 4. Seems the site's frameset was placed in the head, and thus most web browsers don't render it. It is not rendered in Firefox because of Adblock. I don't know if that causes Adblock to block i...

That Super Metroid fix broke some things in SA1 timing causing those bugs.
Super Mario RPG is also affected by that.

(There's also the completely unrelated issue that since upgrading to yesterday's CVS, from CVS of about two weeks ago, my "recently open ROMs" list has been empty and has stayed that way no matter what I do - but that's got nothing to do with the crash bug, it's just annoying; I've mentio...

That's not DMA related AFAIK.
That problem was already in the 4/04/05 WIP but not in the 2/28/05 WIP.
I guess I have to narrow down the problem.

Workaround for loading:
Start a new game and load the state afterwards.

Workaround for saving:
Pause the game before saving the state.
With this ZSNES won't crash immediately after loading, but after you unpause the game.

Yes, its a known issue. I think Pagefault fixed recently or something. AFAIK it's not related to that bug. Those garbled lines are only appearing if you're in the F1-Menu with no graphical filters selected. And it's not only limited to Super Metroid. I know that because I reported it in my first po...

The european versions of MMX2 and MMX3 have some sprite issues. But if you force the ROM to be in NTSC mode the sprites are working fine.
If you force the NTSC ROMS to PAL they will also have sprite issues.
