Depending on which input you're using (gamepad, keyboard, etc) you may have to hit the keys slower. I've noticed that some older gamepads like Microsoft sidewinders have a very low response rate, so the keys must be hit somewhat slower than normal to work. Personally, the easiest controller that I'v...

- GUI radio buttons only work with a specific variable-side setup. Would require a serious code overhaul (I don't specifically have anything against it, it's just a warning that this change requires more than just "use radio instead of checkboxes"). That's too bad. The radio button idea m...

Video Filter Window UI Reorganization

With the new tab feature for the video window working, I thought the video filter window could use a face lift. My problem with the older one was how checking certain options unchecked others unexpectedly. I've rearranged the checkboxes into a more intuitive layout so that similiar options are group...

You can, just not with nLite. I don't reccomend this for the light hearted, as it requires a lot of reading and time.

Since music and sound effects are often on separate sound channels, yeah, you can. Try experimenting by pressing the number keys to toggle the different channels on and off.

Would ZSNES' future OpenGL support have any relevance here?

None of these arguments make sense. Converting a whole game doesn't have to be a lot of work. If you've been over to the High-Res forum for the n64 plugin, you'd notice there are hundreds of people working together on textures and sprites. If you look into Zelda64, there's atleast 20 photoshoppers i...

Bumped to demonstrate that implementing high-res sprite capability isn't pointless for sprite based gaming, as demonstrated in the following (in game) screenshot of Paper Mario 2 for N64. This method is superior to using video filters to "enhance" low-res graphics due to the ability to add...

Maybe this would be asking too much, but I think updated zsnes builds should correctly work with older .dat/.cfgs. Future builds could either automatically update the less compatible settings with the newer ones (upon notification), or if that's too complicated, at the least, have some "Reset C...

The "ghosting" or "blurring" on LCD monitors doesn't have anything to do with the video card or software. It's actually a result of the way crappy LCDs use temperature to change the color of pixels. Since temperature change is not immediate, the blurring effect you see are where ...

If you decide to do this, I will volunteer to rewrite an old hack I did for ZSNES years ago and make the font variable-width. The only potential problem is that the menus are hardcoded, I had to manually change all the menu positions by hand to make the font+interface work. It was scrapped because ...
