Not by the looks of it. Adding values over 9 in the config file won't let you exceed the maximum.
why would you want to?

It's probably highly different, actually. Remember, the arcade setup was MEANT to be hard to dump. If it was easy, it'd make a lousy copy-protection mechanism. That's true. I just figured that from both forms being SRAM based rather than any counter measures they may have loaded onto it. TBH, I hav...

Ummmm, no. SNES cartridges don't USE EEPROMs. They use non-erasable ROMs. Ofcourse they don't use EEPROMS. I think he meant a game cartridge fitted with a socket for an EEPROM where you could switch out your games. I don't think you can dump the SRAM. I think if you try to dump it, you supply it wi...

I guess it's something I'll have to see for myself. I'll have a look around the shops one time. The best part about DVI is that the resolution changes are much faster... I don't like that moment of 'black screen' when switching resolutions but I absolutely hate it when I'm doing something that needs...

I probably should've worded 'everything looks pixel perfect'. It may not be absolute perfection you'd achieve with digital but it does look good. At any rate, I have no need to go for the premium for something I won't be able to notice. Do the faults of VGA become more apparent at higher resolutions...

I'm using VGA on this LCD and I honestly don't see how a digital connection would improve it. Everything is pixel perfect; no distortion and stuff.

PS: My eyesight is just fine  .

ZSNES is indeed a Super NES emulator. It does its job so well it deserves the prefix.

Sorry but I really needed the +1.

Since this thread's already derailed I may aswell ask. Do all games use SRAM with a battery or did some come with EEPROMS or some other type of storage? When I get another SNES, I know I'd rather replace a battery then desolder EEPROMS when they run out of write cycles. Some of the carts I saw PCBs ...

i'm playing mario rpg on the zsnes and all of a suden the game went *poof* it reset's and my savegame is gone
The game just reset unprovoked? :?

Looks like alot of people miss this one; you have to rename the downloaded .zst to the same name your rom has. i.e. mariorpg.smc = mariorpg.zst.

Gradius III on normal and hard are the same to me. The enemies are slightly more aggressive on hard mode, but dodging is easy with the reduce ? power up. I tried the arcade version and that's just ridiculous, bursting the bubbles on stage 2 is a challenge itself. Now that I'm reminded, Gradius III ...

Depends on whatever info the devs can get on the hardware. I suppose it's the custom GPUs that have virtually zero documentation (why would they?) that's holding back alot of games from being emulated. NFL Blitz is a good example of a game that's correctly emulated but is several years newer than Da...

PS2 online games rely on the developers to host their own servers. They're bound to go offline when there aren't enough sales going for their online game. It's entirely a free service like you said earlier. XBL is more 'secure' because the games are hosted on MS servers and (a portion) of the Live f...

I think you can't really blame them with no subscription fees to keep the servers up. I got pissed when my main RTS game stopped putting out patches indefinitely but I think I can just be happy they don't take the servers offline. http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/06/no-more-online-gaming-for-you-says-...

Normal MAME has the in game GUI you use to set the in game options but getting it started up requires command line I think. I've used MAME32 ever since I found out about it and I don't see why anyone wouldn't. It keeps up with the new releases just fine by the looks of it.

The notebook has integrated wireless and the Wii can pick it up during the Access Point search. I only recently found out that Wiis had integrated wi-fi support. I thought you had to purchase some USB network adapter for it but that was just for PC's... From what I can gather, this sounds like the simultaneous keyboard press limit as in the limit of keys you can press at any given time. 2 or 3 is just around the limit.

Ever feel this when you play an RPG?

Let's say you're happily progressing through your RPG until you're brought to a halt by this boss from hell that, no matter what you throw at it just doesn't seem to die. The typical response to this is just to grind it out and gain a few levels OR to activate those 9999HP cheats or look up a FAQ (s...
