Thanks, Aamir, for solving the fullscreen issue; the Resolution Switch and the Aspect Radio thingy work perfectly! :)

Add me to the list of people having problems with fullscreen resolution not being applied on Beta 3. I mean the default 640x480 sorta works on my HDTV monitor, but it doesn't have that kick that 1920x1080 (my native res) has. Oh, and I can't test out aspect ratio correction because of the fullscreen...

Hey guys, forgive me for choosing now to make my first post to this topic, but I do believe that 0.93, beta 2 broke Dynamite Headdy somehow for some reason. It just shows a red screen upon load. This was tried with the Japanese versions and the US/Europe versions. I wonder if a previous version bugg...

v3.34 is released with only 1 change/fix. This means that songs that showed [][] in there names and stuff now appear correct :) - Fixed bad strings getting written to the XID6 tag This also has the nifty side effect of those same tags, not getting re written every time you restart Winamp, or reload...

Me, I just use my BIOS's Boot Menu feature to load Linux if I should ever install it on my other drive, bootmenu and all. Yep, you read right, I especially install the bootmenu on the OTHER drive's MBR, I'm not stupid enough to taint the factory HD! :P And ohh, look at that, my PC's an HP! OMG, the ...

I'm having an issue enabling the NTSC filter in the new WIP (Kubuntu 5.10/Breezy). The checkbox is there, but nothing happens when I tick it. All other filters work as usual. I've tried in both O and non-O modes, full-screened and windowed. I'm using the flgrx driver (Radeon 9600), in case it matte...

Okay, if NTSC really must be in there, it's gonna have to be a completely vertical dot pattern, like the Atari 2600 and Apple ][ used back in the day... I should know; I own a Genesis! Me too, I always hated how crappy the Sega Genesis pixels looked (same for Master System, and even TI 99/4A was th...

...I informed SteveSnake (who writes Kega) and he's interested in it too... Kega Fusion has this quickblur mode that made the faux-transparency effects work just fine; who needs NTSC? :P Okay, if NTSC really must be in Kega, it's gonna have to be a completely vertical dot pattern, like the Atari 26...

If it makes you feel any better, the 1.25 NTSC mode was the composite video mode I wished my NES would have! :P

I've never really been impressed with video filters, but the new NTSC filter in Nestopia 1.25 is quite interesting! Kinda makes me feel like I'm playing the real thing on my TV... Yep, tried NTSC mode, a few nitpicks: Actually NES graphics on NTSC would have passive zigzaggy dot patterns, as much a...

ZSNES' default setting is for 512x448. There are options to stretch it to 640x480 to get the correct aspect ratio. But by default, running at 640x480 will just give a black border around the image. Have you by any chance seen the top picture with the borders? That coincidentally came from an actual...

I've heard that this bug is in the actual game, but it can be worked around. Just leave the area you're in ASAP, to try to force the background music to change, then come back in the area, then save your state, so it'll have fully intact music, as well as restabilized gameplay, again. :D

Re: I've seen your screen shots

The black bars are visible though. I've used TV out on my 9600 and I still see the bars. A PC monitor and TV are the same aspect ratio ;) Only cause the freakin' card still chooses to shrink the f*&#%^ video output, so that you can see EVERYTHING... I HATE PC-to-TV adapters that don't appreciat...

Actually, from my experience (long story ahead), there are 2 8-scanline-tall borders on the top and the bottom of the screen. I used to own a 1981 TV that had a control in the back that let you control how tall or short the scanlines were. I set it to just enough where all the scanlines were on the ...

Another game to note: Super Adventure Island. Its sound effects sound warbley and robotic, while on the actual hardware, they were smooth.
