Possibly a result of some of the game control input disabling/ignoring certain inputs either as a result of enum fields, or invalid input. Slightly off topic, you could test this to see how its joystick support works, both in configuration and at play. Yah, I suppose that thing could use its own top...

I would not advise using maximum process priority in Windows NT 5, aka 2000, XP, 2003. I once did so with a PC 2D platformer years ago. It took over my machine and stopped responding to the keyboard. In fact, the only input it saw was the gamepad I had connected, and its menu navigation lacked a joy...

I don't think so, no. The USB was a definite plus for me, however. I no longer have a gameport, except for the motherboard's onboard stuff, and I lack a port/cable header to use it. I have no shortage of USB 2 ports, however. Four in the back, two in the front, and two disabled because I chose to co...

I wonder why people bother with ps2 adapters. How does it cost $15, $20 each? I got a Logitech Rumblepad 2, witch is probably (at least one of) the best pc controller you can have, and cost me $45 CAN with taxes. It’s almost the same thing as a Playstation controller. I think it rumbles better and ...

Logitech Rumblepad 2, their closest yet at cloning Sony's Dual Shock. Nicely shaped and rubberized analog sticks (with trigger buttons), no more throttle to confuse random software when it isn't centered, or by is mere existence. The only flaw is the position of the 9/10 (start/select) above the mod...

Unicode lololol. How about a way of detecting and decoding SJIS where applicable, otherwise warning on high ASCII? Now the real fun is implementing Unicode chatting. You can receive input in local codepage on win9x systems, or Unicode on NT, but probably display on both depending on the completeness...

If I had any working links to public domain ROM images, I would share them.

i just convert an mp3 or any other audio file to raw brr sample data using kode54s foobar 2000 adpcm plugin. you just have to get rid of the header it appends to the file and get it into the rom. More work may be necessary to turn that encoder into a useful SNES hacking utility. For one, it should ...

That was a useless note. Yes, the 24-bit limitation applies to all of the Audigy series which use the emu10k2 chip for EAX effects. While it is capable of 32-bit integer processing internally, all inputs and outputs are 16-bit. Therefore, when you have CMSS or EAX effects enabled, the output of that...

Huh, CMSS. I thought that was for simulating surround from simple stereo signals. Not to mention, when you use that or any of the other EAX effects with that shiny Audigy 2 or 4, you lose the 24-bit capability. On 5.1 PC systems, you can't do that however, and ZSNES itself would need to process the ...

It's not part of MPC. I built the external filter. Somebody is probably going to kill me for this . Stick filter and your choice of binkw32.dll (included) and/or smackw32.dll in any folder other than %systemroot% or %systemroot%\system32, register it with regsvr32, enjoy. (Remember to regsvr32 /u be...

They usually install a lot of shit you don't need by default. Ffdshow, QuickTime, and Real cover pretty much everything that isn't built into MPC. Oh yeah, and I snatched the source code to Gabest's Bink/Smacker DirectShow filter before he removed it from CVS. All your intellectual property are belo...

Re: [BUG] Donkey Kong Country 2
I have been playing with the Gameboy Advance version on this game and I have notice that the barrel rotation controls has a bug in the SNES version. I tried with Snes9X and it worked fine... In ZSNES, those barrels won't stop to spin; it should spin manually. http://img146.exs.cx/img146/1064/gba154...

I have hundreds of Super NES music straight from the original games. It sounds as if you are recording them from the console. One of my brothers was doing this over ten years ago, to cassette tapes. Now, we have thousands of SPC dumps, which are more useful than recordings, and free of analog line ...
