I dont know why anyone hasnt suggested this before but delete zsnes and re-download it. If that doest work make sure the folder or wherever your downloading it too is not write protected (sp?). If that still doesnt work than I really have no idea.

Ya I know that but because its a rom file it shouldnt be a big deal that and I wasnt sure what you would put to use it for just yourself. 777 was the only thing I could remember.

Nah thank you. You have actually helped me alot, after playing and beating crono trigger star ocean seemed obvious but ya compatibility issues forced me to quit. What is the bsnes site? is it www.bsnes.com?

star ocean translation

Is this still an issue? I remember 5 years ago that the english version was translated alrite but that the rom was unstable as hell and I found out how unstable, I could barely get past the first 10 minutes without it glitching. I was just wondering if things have changed because zsnes (btw i'm too ...

You seem to know your stuff quite well. If you haven't tried it already you can try shutting down individual services in XP until you find the one that causes slowdowns, as for the code I don't think so because not many computer are affected by this.

Use a hex editor and do it yourself. Then when you give up after two weeks tell me so I can laugh at you. I tried it and it is friggin hard and takes some skill, which is why Dejap has my respect for translating a myriad of games.

This probably won't fix the problem but I do suggest adding more ram and at least a 1 GHZ cpu to run XP. Minimum requirements are just lies, 300MHz... Psh as if maybe if you made it look like windows 2000. Stop fucking talking. XP can be run adequately on a 233 with 96mb of ram. Um it can run adequ...

Eh? do you need to pass a prefix to the configure command, I guess my redhat/knoppix use made me forget about slack. But yes I find that using the src is better then using rpm's.

Hidden files will work in all Win9x platforms, but all a person has to do is uncheck that box and find them. There is no security whatsoever. It's not a bad jerry-rig last resort, but it sure as heck isn't going to keep kids who grew up with computers out. Setting permissions on NT platforms would ...
