SNES emulation on NDS

Anyone into NDS homebrew? Was hoping to get some pointers on the best SNES solution as I have an R4DS on the way :)

Triple buffering in windowed mode?

I did a quick search and didn't find anything, so...

Is it just me or did ZSNES once have triple buffering while in windowed mode and not just fullscreen? My Pentium M notebook is too slow to run it with vsync while windowed :(

Multi-monitor support

Any plans to make it so the ZSNES window can be dragged to another monitor? Would be handy for those with TVs set up as secondary displays.

Your file might simply be corrupted. I can't imagine OSX not recognizing a DMG file.

Are you saying that it should work because it has the new Direct3D scaling mode, or it will be fixed when this is implimented? Forgive my not knowing what that feature is exactly :P

I can't really think of anything else to add :\ that's pretty much the whole problem as far as I can see.

1600x1200 Windowed modes scaling to 1600x1024 (latest WIP)

Screenshot: http://img350.imageshack.us/img350/8185/zsnessmush5pu.jpg Of course I tried it with fresh configs, no dice. Fullscreen works fine, just windowed mode does this, S or R. I don't think I've ran this build of zsnes since I recenly reformatted my system (and before that, it worked) so a chan...

It seems to be kind of iffy.. probably something to do with how I've set my refresh rates between my nvidia control panel and/or RefreshForce. EDIT: It seems that if I use RefreshForce to set a res to something above 60hz, the -6 switch is unable to override that. I can disable RefreshForce and set ...

The jigga-whut?

EDIT: nvm, should have read the FAQ. I tried the -6 and -K, the former doesn't seem to do anything (what exactly is it supposed to do?) and the other doesn't even load zsnes, even if I set it to a resolution that I know supports 120hz.

The difficulty is that all the 4:3 resolutions that I'd run it in I also use in a lot of other games, some of which depend on the higher frequencies to have less tearing without vsync. It'd be a real hassle to switch refresh rates between games. However, this very moment I just noticed 1600x1200 in ...

Forcing ZSNES to use a certain refresh rate?

Is it possible? In fullscreen 1024x768 or 1280x960, my refresh rate is set to 85hz which is fine for regular 3D games, but ZSNES seems to be capped at 60 FPS. With the refresh at anything higher than 60hz and with vsync enabled, there's a slight stuttering effect due to it being out of sync. If I ha...

ZSNES states in SNES9x

At school when I don't have shit to do I like to play SNES games off my flash drive, however a lot of of the school computers don't give permissions to access the DDraw renderer (or something along those lines... at any rate ZSNESW doesn't load due to a DirectX error) but SNES9x and ZSNESD both work...

I think I also have a pixelation fetish... which is why I sometimes enjoy Quake 1/2 in software, hehe. I do prefer Super 2xSai, though. I like the hqxx filters, but they occasionally make my framerate drop to like 58, which creates an ever-so-barely-noticable-but-yet-still-maddening stutter.

the DS/DR modes are fully pixilated when unfiltered, just use them at a higher res or full screen if it's too small. The other modes aren't any bigger, so I fail to see why you would use the D or S modes at all.

It seems like you're setting ZSNES to use a resolution higher than what your monitor supports. Try using a smaller one. If zsnes is stuck at whatever resolution you had the problem in, just delete the zsnesw.cfg file and run it again.

I think VirtualDub lets you change the delay in msec of the audio that's in the file you're working on, so that should make it a little easier. I'm not entirely sure if that feature exists, though. Speaking of Vdub, when I used it to edit/re-encde the file mencoder outputed, it stuck WARNING: BFRAME...

If you're really desperate for sound, you could hook your sound cards output to the audio-in then sync it up with your editing software.. though I'm not sure how good that would sound.
