I guess there are always FAQ's and guides which explain controls as well.

One of the downsides of roms. They don't come with the manual.

So blur is disabled in Vista for DirectDraw apps. Can it be disabled in XP somehow? Disabling DirectDraw itself DOESN'T work. ZSNES will not run for me if DDraw is disabled.

I used to be able to avoid the problem by using a 3dfx Voodoo card. ZSNES is the only emulator I use that forcefully blurs my games.

Filtered GUI is unchecked and it's still filtered, as are games. I tried it in Vista , and nothing is filtered. I have a feeling it's something to do with my nvidia card again.

So if Zsnes were to use D3D, this blur wouldn't occur right?

Nvidia blur in Windows XP

One thing that always bugged me about nvidia cards, was the blur in any mode other than 640x480 DR in Zsnes under Windows XP.

I've recently installed Vista Ultimate x64 on my computer. To my surprise, there's no more blur! What's different in Vista? The nvidia blur seems to not occur in Vista.

I haven't used the DOS port since about 2001. I've been running ZSNES on Windows XP x64 for a couple of years now and it's been great.

nVidia bought out 3dfx, did they not? I can't even run my Voodoo 5 in my computer because it is not compatible with my AGP Pro slot.

Voodoo cards are great for not blurring anything. I have a Voodoo 3 and a Voodoo 5 and neither blur anything at any resolution.:D

Well the results of my tests are as follows. My goal was to get games running at a solid 60FPS in ZSNES DOS with stereo sound enabled. No filters or anything, just plain old SNES. Video 320x240 16bit (For transparency) Triple Buffering Sound 32,000KHz, Stereo, Gaussian Interpolation Now the slowest ...
