I tried encoding to FLV to avoid Youtube's automatic reencoding, but it didn't recognize the file type. Youtube simply discards every x frames until the framerate is <= 30 fps; it doesn't blend by itself. AviSynth blending code: function BlendFields(clip) { clip (FrameCount % 2 == 1) ? DuplicateFram...

Re: question about filters

"Better" depends in the game and your preferences. Try them all if you want to find out. what is the difference between the super eagle filter and the HQ filter? The difference should be visible... And HQ needs more processing power. I'm using a 19 inch widescreen LCD monitor [...] whats t...

Edit the IPS so the header won't be necessary? Got some links which explain how? Or is it a little too elaborate for a simple FAQ?
Just run the program from the command line, it shows how to do it.

What matters is the fact that its emulation of SNES is CLOSE to PERFECT! Try bsnes. EDIT: Ack, that's what I get for reading only one page... Except for games relying on unsupported chips and stuff. And firewall/router + virus scanner, or simply no internet at all.

Also, you realize you can change the skin you use, right? Yeah, I actually used that very feature to select the dark theme. It's really nice apart from the link-hiding problem. Might be fixable with a greasemonkey script or something like that? I've heard (<- no personal experience) that they are q...

Load the savestate, let the game save your progress, exit the emulator, copy the SRM file.

Only possible with games that support in-game saves. Copying the *.srm file (e.g. "Super Mario World (U).srm" if your ROM file is "Super Mario World (U).zip") should be enough.

If you're using the same emulator you can also use the ZSNES savestates (*.zs?).

Scan both ROMs with NSRT. If the result is different in any way (filename, compression, checksums etc.) then the files are not identical.

Btw. did you send him your ROM or vice versa?
