What's up with the aliasing on the edges? Other than that, I think it looks really good.

Gleasonator, can you fix the top of the b? the top of the curve is thinner then the left/right of it making it appear disjointed. I agree, actually suggested this before I but I think I was too vague. Hmm, bsnes = snes emulator. Saying bsnes emulator is like saying Bob eater instead of Bob the eate...

It's an X:Y ratio. I can't accept eg 1.333 or 1.6, because that would require me to know the X:Y pixel ratio of the monitor in question. For 1280x1024 on CRTs, that is ~1.2:1. For the same on LCDs, it's usually 1:1. It should be a simple calculation to get 16:10 anyway, for people who want their sp...

I also added back the aspect adjust settings to the config file. This time I combined them to floating point values. So instead of the old: video.ntsc_aspect_x = 54 video.ntsc_aspect_y = 47 You now have: video.ntscAspectRatio = 1.14893617 I know this is a bit unorthodox and I can't remember if it's...

Some guy's been spamming about a post supposedly signed by byuu about leaking a CD for some band. He included a screenshot in his message and was calling byuu names and saying he was going to report his website. (in the post, 'byuu' was taunting the band and saying he would host the CD at his websit...

There's a halo around them? It's pretty much invisible with the standard forum skin, so I guess you must be using a darker one :)

The top horizontal bar of the b looks a bit squished to me. But I'm not sure if making the top fully horizontal would look good.. Other than that, it looks great.

Not unless CPU makers implement reverse hyperthreading anyway. (which would require very fast intra-core communication, I guess)

But I think he meant: would it be useful to split the process into more threads?

So do I. My controller is less damaged (although one of the buttons is a bit scratched) and I cleaned it out pretty thoroughly a while ago. Want me to take some pictures as well? Although I doubt my post will be as good :)

Wow, this has improved a lot since the last time I checked. I have no doubt now that it will be for all intents and purposes perfect when you're done with it. Excellent job.

Edit: by the way, do you intend to model the internals? I'd be happy to take my pad apart and upload some pictures.

I keep telling myself I'll rewrite the PPU to be cycle-based and all clean and rainbows and kittens and stuff, but it's 2009 and I haven't even started on that. Terrified to, ... it's going to be hell I'm sure :( To be fair there has been some progress towards this: you rewrote the way CPU/PPU comm...

Wow, I was stunned when I first saw this latest version. Now that I'm over the sheer beauty of it, is there any way you could make the gap that exists between the D-pad and the shell anymore defined? Right now it sort of blends into the D-pad, which makes it look a bit flat. Same goes for start and ...

I loved the all-blue one, though I thought it was a bit empty in the middle. The latest example (candy?) is so pretty that it's a bit over-the-top in my opinion. But you're definitely on to something good here.

It's different, because in this case, they know a correct button order exists, and the internet gives them the capacity to find it. For things like hotkeys and other behaviors, they don't know any of that exists. Thus it's essential that they see the readme and read it, which they will abort doing ...

If you can't remember the abxy order, it doesn't take that long to do a google image for "snes controller." True, but doesn't that contradict your own comment about the patience of users reading the documentation somewhat? If users can't be expected to focus for more than 30 seconds looki...

I like the clef / Klein bottle (thank you wikipedia) gllt threw in there, although I don't see the relation :) Alternatively, something with β? (as in the greek letter beta)

( while I'm at it, bsnes in greek: βσνηϛ )

Edit: some corrections.

I don't suppose the reason MSVC profiling of bsnes is broken is due to HQ2x then? :P (Although I think bsnes uses an optimised version, dunno if Snes9x uses the same)

Eight cores would be enough to dedicate a core to each component of the SNES, I expect. But it's all about the speed of synchronisation between the cores.. if it can't sync up the millions of times per second bsnes needs, all its cores will mean nothing. (of course, in its current form bsnes can't h...

Changing quotes is not the best tactic either. I don't think Franky is being serious enough to warrant any kind of retribution to be honest. And anyway, he's not the one who started this, and he -did- point out the smallest modern OS. So.. doesn't he deserve the dubious distinction of 'winning' this...
