odd choice, but indie devs have to eat, and online play can be complicated. or so i'm led to believe by its lack of inclusion here.

Installing the OpenAL SDK seems to have resolved the OpenAL issue.

They took what wasn't broke, and broke it. I think I summarized what I hate about it fairly well over here.

Re: Is Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean worthy
Decent game, if you can stand the extremely horrible voice acting. Even the sound quality is horrible. But oh well, luckily you can turn that off :D The music is awesome though. From videos of the game it looks to have okay voice acting, it's just the audio filter they apply over it to make it soun...

Is Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean worthy?
Hi I was wondering if Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean is worth a $50 AUD purchase or not, I recall hearing at least one of the games in the series being highly praised but I forget which one D:

And your reward for staying loyal to them is a very nice time trial of there "premium" online services. Once the time limit runs out, most of what what you've done/acquired during that time limit becomes inaccessible until you pay them money, nice.

Ubuntu is great because it is easier for most people who h ave never used Linux before or just want something "easy". It's easy until you look at the documentation, try what is suggested, realize it doesn't work, ask about it on the forum, get laughed at for being a noob, about a month la...

Re: Duke Nukem Forever to officially get a release date
True, bugs that do make there way into Wii games can be much more devastating because you can't really patch them, but the likely hood of there being such a crippling bug in the first place is significantly less then on the other systems. You are much more likely to have a good experience right when...

Re: Duke Nukem Forever to officially get a release date
black ops has been patched, and a few of the more popular titles have been re-released with new version numbers. having tried out a few of the shovelware titles and me-too ports, the wii is no less susceptible to buggy releases than anyone else. True, but if you exclude the shovelware for all syste...

Re: Duke Nukem Forever to officially get a release date
Aren't console games launched at beta these days too, I mean since patching became possible? They still usually run out of the box with no major known crash issues. The fact that "runs out of the box" is not a mandatory rule for shipping a PC game is incredibly sad. I think the Wii is the...

Find the option to enable overscan. Most games display garbage on the far left as they use the left for cache. TV's of the NES era typically don't show the left edge of the picture.
