DVI is much better on an LCD. It's NOT pixel perfect with VGA, there's some blur, and the pixels aren't positioned perfectly. It looks good, yes, but it's not perfect. It'll also fuck up ClearType (which is <3).

When something fucks up, I just buy parts locally and test them until I find which one is fucked. Then I return the shit I bought and buy what I really want online for a lot less.

RE4 PC is the same as RE4 PS2 in every way. Crappier graphics, FMVs for the cutscenes, and the extras.

It's a 2D game. DS emulators don't handle 3D that well. It's fairly hit and miss.
