I use both AVG and SpyBot, and I've never had an issue. Unless you are gonig 100% of the time through Warez sites, they really don't interfere with anything. Sounds to me more like restrictions are due to a censor.

I'm always doubtfull of installing a new Internet explorer. 7 wasn't really better than FireFox or Seamonkey.

I think 2D by adding DETAILED graphics has found it's peak. When u can't see any pixels, you know there's nothing else to do there.

On the other hand, 2D with nifty FX has still a long way to go.

I'm no expert, but you could be thinking of "Super Gouls and Ghosts" ... just how is that Ghouls and Ghosts? There are no items to pickup in this game that you need to advance, and there are absolutely NO NPCs that aren't monsters in there either. And sorry, I've no idea what this game is...
