I went to school with gavin XD, aside from that, awesome work AS. Keep it up ^^; Thanks. Only really glaring flaw I see is the lack of a true black. Your back is a light gray. It's a very dark grey, thank you very much. And the NES did not actually have a true black (at least in the U.S.). Or rather, it did , but it wasn't used because it damaged television screens. The true black is p...

From the FAQ: Q: Why is ZSNES slow? A: Try changing your video mode to different settings until you find the mode that's optimal in performance. There are two things that will probably impact speed the most (for the better): using a fullscreen setting (instead of a 'windowed' mode) and a resolution ...

Re: lollers and LMEROOTS

:lollers: Does that have any particular meaning, or is it just a variation for its own sake? Variation for it's own sake. Nice. If anyone cares, I just wanted to note that LMEROOTS has no "official" pronunciation; say it however you like. It could be "Lime-Roots", "Lame-Roo...

lollers and LMEROOTS

:lollers: Does that have any particular meaning, or is it just a variation for its own sake? In this situation, I would respond thusly: Those are the main ways? I always thought the main way to to select quit from the game menu. I didn't even realize there was an option there. o_0 LMEROOTS!!! * LME...

Have you tried putting the games in their own directory rather than in the ZSNES directory? Perhaps you have too many ROMs in one directory... If your default folder for extracting is "ZSNES140", then you must have the DOS version of ZSNES. The Windows port of ZSNES will always have a &quo...

anomie's suggestion is the definitely the system I would choose if I were in charge of bringing this new feature to fruition. ;) I'd like to add one thing: I think it should search the zip/jma file for patches after checking the directories so outside files will take precedence and override the 'def...

I love this idea ^_^ I concur; this is a great idea. It would be perfect for games that have bugfix patches (I'm thinking FF3/FF6), so you can easily choose which fixes you want and change it around to keep more or less of the bugs that were present in the original game—without needing to make a ne...

Try pressing Alt+Enter. That should put ZSNES in fullscreen mode, and then you can adjust your video settings to something that works better. I suspect that if you updated your video card drivers, you wouldn't have this problem anymore. Go to your video card manufacturer's website and look around fo...

Personally, I prefer this idea than using MNG. Though, adding both this and MNG can be a good idea for those that only want animation without sounds. Yeah, I can't wait for the onset of widespread popularity of the MNG format. From what I've read about it, MNG is superior to GIF in every way, so wh...

If you have a WIP, you don't get docs with those, ipher said if you can use a WIP, then you don't need docs for it. Basically, you should just download ZSNES 1.42 (the latest official release) to make sure you do have a set of docs. Or you could grab the much more recently updated documentation fro...

Just when you think ZSNES couldn't be any cooler... something like this is thrown at us. This rocks so much, I can't even begin to ramble on about how great it is. :D

I'm sure it will not be easy to get used to making the videos, but I hope to catch on eventually. ;)

Actually, this was in the DOS 04/04 WIP, but not before that. I mentioned it in the WIP thread.

I always start using a new version of ZSNES without old config files.

Are you sure your Act Raiser 2 ROM has a good checksum?

What version of ZSNES are you using? The latest official release is v1.42; the most recent WIPs for ZSNES have some graphics problems.

Are the images broken for you, too? Maybe you should re-commit those as well. :) Yes, they are. I can put up the images, too, but I think I may do some resizing/editing of the pics first, just so each have consistent height and width for the dimensions. ;) BTW, I use TortoiseCVS. I tried the comman...

You may need to delete your "chm" folder to get the new file working properly; that's what I had to do (after committing).

Since ZSNES has always had them in use anyway, I think the default should be ON. I agree with ipher and pagefault: there are too many people—who don't know or care if hacks are used—to have the toggle OFF by default; they just want to play the games. Off-topic: It would be these same people who woul...

Hey, Developers, just so you know, the DOS version shows the Rewind options in the Save window, but Rewind still isn't implemented in the DOS port at all. Even though the bug is that the options are present in the DOS port, the bug should be that Rewind can't be used. :P I didn't catch this sooner b...
