It's a matter of time. Right now, I think people can forgive accuracy if their games play within a reasonable rate... it's happened with most emus that didn't quite have the resources at the time, so this trend will continue until the hardware is capable or someone is really good at optimizing (try...

Like RHDN? That's not really suited for emulator development. Especially mixing in modern docs with antiques that are seriously flawed. I see that they at least added some general comments to the older docs to warn about this now, but I honestly don't think that goes far enough. Don't get me wrong,...

From what I barely can remember from the last time I played it, I think the scroll/spell names are all stored as graphics, and there might be a good number of those. I bet there's a whole bunch of stuff I've forgotten though. I think I missed this reply. Since the thread is already back from the de...

Yeah K-lite is fine. This entire discussion is silly. We're all talking about more or less the same thing under different names.

The K-lite standard codec pack comes with FFDSHOW and really doesn't install all that much else. The full version has a bunch unnecessary extras though. Besides that, during installation, almost everything is OPTIONAL. You can install as little or as much as you want. I don't see how it's better or ...

I'm starting to think some people completely overestimate the demand for a game being translated. Probably true. Regardless of legality of reverse engineering, or distribution, many in the ROM hacking community seem to agree it's 100% illegal, no questions asked thanks to the Berne Convention . You simply cannot create legal unauthorized translations... So all the other things discussed in this topic don't mat...

The curious in me just wants to know why, if bandwidth on his current host is so sparse that small gains from UPX are needed to conserve it, it is so hard to find a host where this is not an issue? Surely, the most generous thing you can do for a host who suffers from that extra 600mb a month is to...

SR 60's are quite the best headphone you can buy for $60. I don't know about that. For $68 (I got them a bit cheaper from Amazon a year or so ago), I have the Sony MDR-V6 and they really give the Grados a run for their money. Professionals have used these in the music, movie, and TV industries for ...

Yes.
Even the PS2-less ones can run PS1 games.
PS3's cannot read the old memory cards which is a big deal for some people.

I gave this emulator a try over the weekend. For some reason I got a bunch of skipping and stuttering on both .41 and the previous version posted. It wasn't really playable. I've got a 2.5Ghz AMD X2 and Geforce 7800 GT. No problems with any other emulator. Any ideas?

Won't he lose it if he doesn't renew it in a certain amount of time? I'm concerned he's not going to be able to renew it. If it's an expired domain, it will soon be made available for others to purchase.

You add 69.50.240.226 nsrt.edgeemu.com To your hosts file, at this point you may need to reset your browser, then you navigate to http://nsrt.edgeemu.com, this is not complicated. That's kind of ridiculous to expect all users to edit files on their computer to view a web page. If NSRT actually move...
