It depends on your processor stepping, recent ones start throttling once they reach 85°C. I don't know about Everest but neither SpeedFan nor my system BIOS report the correct temperatures of CPU, only CoreTemp does, so, knowing the limit is meaningless unless you know how close you're pushing the C...

Why use KDE?

I'm currently using Gnome + Compiz, and wondering whether I'm heading in the wrong direction.

Compiz is staying, so count that as a factor.

Speak up now.

The suggested max operating temperatures are actually ~60°C for TCase (a single thermal diode between the cores), and ~72°C each for TJunction (one inside each core).

Which nicely evades the issue that your results are utterly meaningless, as your second link showed even the stock iPod ear buds do very bad things to iPod audio, or at least, to the bass portion. No, I mentioned a real world scenario in which iPod's (Shuffle, Nano, 4G+) output is actually top-notc...

Also: Raw numbers also don't really give you an idea of what it SOUNDS like('s why every 5$ pair of headphones has really impressive-looking numbers on the back). These numbers actually do, it's an objective measurement. Especially not when they're generated under a loadless situation, which is tot...

Bullshit, I say.
Edit: Check this out too, in this case the Shuffle gets the prize.

Re: Need to know games that suport dual cpu

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew of any games that supported dual CPUs. Me and my friend are gonna do a bench mark test about dual CPU vs. dual core , but actually need to find a handful of games that actually support dual CPU. Any game that has multiprocessor support. You can try Bioshock, it fe...

You can make use of the median filter to get rid of excessive details, you can also dodge and burn areas of the image to heighten basic details (i.e. the eyes) before running the luminance threshold filter. This is what I came up with in a minute: http://img66.imageshack.us/img66/8264/loydgrossmanav...

You may also want to consider the AAC format, it fares well in mid to low bitrates, has gapless playback tagging support from many encoders, and it's bound to be widely supported for years to come. The Nero AAC encoder is good and free, and you can effortlessly use it from within foobar. I recommend...

Half of my music collection is in MPC format and it has served me well quality-wise, the obvious drawback is the almost complete lack of support from mobile players (with stock firmware). See Rockbox , iPodLinux for support on the iPod and other players. See COWON A2 for out-of-the-box-along-with-fi...
