I think the biggest problem is that a real snes will send out an interlaced image while zsnes displays a progressive image.

Why would you use space consuming MP3s when SPC files are relatively small and are easily played using Winamp? So you can burn them to a CD, then play them in a portable CD player. :P If you convert the SPCs to wav and burn those to cd, it'll sound a lot better  Mp3 fxxkin' sucks at any bitra...

- Try an snes emulator that works in 256 color mode (zsnes dos?)
- disable the BG layers
- save the screenshots
- open teh screenshots in your favorite paint program
- select the background color in the 256 color pallette (color #1?) and change it from black to pink or whatever.

720*480 might not be a bad idea to add.

Foobar is a very good audio player. But the spc plugin totally sucks, cause it has no options. I use Winamp + snesamp plugin or Super Jukebox to play spc.

There are several different tv-out chips for nVidia cards. So the quality, features and probably also speed is heavily dependent on which tv-out chip is used.

Well, the picture size will differ on each tv. Each tv will have a slighty different visible screen. Anyway, I'm sure that Zsnes shouldn't resize from 224 to 480, but from 224 to 448. That way each snes line will match a line on your tv and the picture will be a lot sharper than a 224 to 480 resize...

- Look for an overscan option in your videocard driver settings
- Try 720*480 (fullscreen opengl) in snes9x

I'm not using a snes controller directly, i'm using a snes extension cable. The colors seem to be connected to the same pins as a normal snes controller so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm 99.9 percent sure that i have the correct wires. I really can't see anything wrong with it... I don't know much...

Sorry about that photo, but it's really hard to make a sharp picture of such a small thing. Anyway, i resoldered the whole thing but it didn't make any difference... i guess i have to give up for now  . I'll try it on a Windows98 machine tomorrow instead Windows XP. If that doesn't work then I'...

AntoineWG, i'm trying to make my snes joypad work with the printer port. I've soldered the 5 wires from an snes extension cable to a printer plug, just like you did. And i've installed NTpad. It doesn't work though. I've tried it in Control pad -> Game Controllers. The NTpad XP con forcefeedback sho...
