The good old Audigy 2 is (still) the best card Creative has ever made (especially with the kX drivers [on Windows] or ALSA/JACK [on Linux]). "Hot" outputs, superb positional audio, good quality 20-bit converters, low latency,no noticeable distortion even at 100% volume, great MIDI synth, very g...

About progress: I _have_ been able to do some basic DMG testing, which indicates that the DMG and CGB differ in a few core areas, but are otherwise very, very similar. Unfortunately a lot of my tests depend on some of that CGB-specific behavior, so they need to be reworked to be meaningful for the ...

You are not supposed to look for specific package, you are supposed to add the repository to your configs and install the package with your package manager of choice ;) ...unless you're using a non-RPM distro (i.e. Slackware) and don't like compiling from source. Just extract the .RPM,download some...

That tells me nothing serious of consequence. I'd rather hear from people who have constantly whined about ATI's Linux drivers to report something positive. With the 'old' ATI Catalyst 9.3 driver, GLView reports 60% of OpenGL 3.1 supported.

GLView's detection is fixed now. It shows full GL3.0 / GLSL 1.30 support if you select the GL3 context option.

Nice, but that driver still has partial support for OpenGL 3.1 - half of the features are not yet implemented.

It's just another marketing stunt by NVIDIA :)

A new 'ARB_compatibility' extension has been created to support the deprecated functionality. This single extension encapsulates all the removed functionality, and re-introduces that back into core O...
