I remember reading a book where the protagonist was young and either her or her brother had diabetes. They carried lifesavers around with them. That's about all I remember. I believe it was popular/well known enough to be required reading in some scools.
Any clues?

Re: Nintendo Press Conference
You can't actually play the games from the memory card, you have to transfer the files back to main memory.

Looking for slideshow software with a twist
Is there any slideshow software out there that well let you add images to the slideshow after you've already started it? My friend has an idea for his wedding where he's going to have a camera going around and transmitting pictures back to a laptop. He's looking for some sort of slideshow software t...

The restriction is part of NTFS, not Windows, though Explorer likely error checks:

Transfering PS1/PS2 games saves to PC
Does anyone know if this will work with a PC? If not, any suggestions? I don't really want to go through the hassle and expense of a dex drive, plus it only does PS1.

PSX Gems you may have missed
All of this talk about Parasite Eve 2 has got me thinking, what other PSX RPGs are out there that I've missed. Alundra springs to mind - everyone speaks highly of it but I never got around to playing it.
Any suggestions?

You can pick up a Sony XBR CRT that's a few years old for $300-$500 these days. When they came out in 2003/2004 they were among the best TVs reviewed... of course they cost well over $2k at the time. The colors and black levels are still untouchable. Most important to me however is that standard def...
