Nobody is expecting anything. Everyone who posted in this topic is expecting a reply on one degree or another, and, like I said before, ain't a single person here who's entitled to it. The long and the short of the situation is that the ZSNES project and community isn't a part of his life anymore. ...

Folks, it's fairly simple all around: his dad died, he needed to move on. Just let the man rest. Posting updates on his condition would take at most 10 minutes every month; this is not a matter of not being able to, it's a matter of not wanting to. He's moved on with his life, and quite frankly, it'...

There is no magic anymore so a sequel to FF6 can't be done. I disagree--Kefka's Tower collapsed, but it wasn't incinerated or anything. It'd become a ruin, just waiting some powerhungry asshole to come find a way into the Tower, explore the ruins, rebuild the statues, and become Kefka Jr or somethi...

The rumors persist about the supposedly horrible translation for FF6, and how the dialogue was supposed to be much more profane and sexually explicit. Having played through a number of retranslation attempts, and having read a lot of fan-created literature on the subject, you are really missing next...

EDIT: Just so you know, I DO have the SNES console, and the simearth cartridge, etc. I have it on my computer because some of the music sounded better coming out of my computer's speakers than from the TV's speakers. Those details are really none of our business, to be honest. Anyway, we could real...

I don't think it should matter, since they're all applied at the same time. As long as it's in there, it's probably fine. It's good practice to have the master code(s) up top, though.

Re: Rumored Translation question

I heard that ZSNES, the team behind the awesome Emulator program I use alot at home, is currently translating a game into english. Almost right. DeJap, a translation group hosted by the same folks as ZSNES, is doing the translation. Incidentally, the boards are on these forums, too. They have a 1.0...

Jue: I'm pretty sure your problem is one of those crazy dumps with hacked checksums. Have NSRT scan it to tell you exactly whether or not it's a good dump.

Speaking of which... is there a video card out there that can output the REAL Snes resolution? I'm talking real 256x224 non-interlaced here, not the usual crappy 640x480 interlaced stretched crap that all usual videocards have? I'd love to get my hands on one if such a thing exists. I'm not an expe...

Kevman is probably referring to the previous build of DOSBox, in which case he would've been correct. The new version of DOSBox has all sorts of crazy new options like the dynamic core that's stable to make things work a good bit smoother, aside from the fact that the emulation is a good bit faster ...

Re: Is This Seriously in the Final Version of ToP!?!

We've only seen this question about a million times now, and the answer is simply that the script was open to interpretation at that point. Purists can argue one way or the other, but that's the way it is. Cope with it or don't play it, really quite simple. Though if you have a severe problem with a...

Yes, like I've said twice already, I've attempted to use the SNESTool several times, but how should I answer the questions 'hirom file y/n?' and 'disable static ram y/n?'. Those two questions have been very problematic for me. Back when I screwed with the headers for about 15 minutes when I was app...
