Feature Idea: ROM pre-processing
Ok, so I've been reading various stuff about interleaved roms, headers, blah blah blah. Basically, all the crazy formats that copiers spit out and make it hard for ZSNES to play the rom. Also, apparently ZSNES no longer supports interleaved SuperFX games. Is this correct? So here's my idea. How about...

It's command line but Nach mentioned that he could easily whip together a right click context menu entry to compress and decompress stuff, if he could find his papers on how to do it. I don't think its particularly complicated to create a context menu entry. All that is necessary is for his program...

Would the KitchenSync feature help? I don't know anything about it, maybe someone else can help with that. If you have System Restore turned on, you can try to use that to un-apply the updates, and see if the emulators go back to working. If they do, go to Windows Update again, and carefully look th...

I know I'm probably going to get flamed into oblivion for this Was it your intention? Did you make a pretty argument just to see how you would get flamed? If you're serious, perhaps think about appreciating the emulator first before you talk about all the problems with it. If you spent any time on ...

Relative paths not working quite right
This bug was confirmed in Windows port, ver 1.42 official and the 2/10 WIP. When you specify a relative path for freeze files and other things, zSNES screws up a little bit. To reproduce: 1. Have ROM in a directory not the same as zSNES executable. 2. Have save states and/or srm files in a directory...

I know you don't care to do anything Win32 platform specific, but I think lack of ease of use and flexibility holds back your format. Zip files are nearly transparent these days with shell integration. I can extract and create zips with just a right mouse click and selecting a path. Umm... it seems...

Yeah, I found it not too long after posting that message. Nach confirmed the steps for me, too. All I can say is, programmers have so many opportunities to put stuff like that in their programs. Just think about it. Can you imagine the crap some people might find in Windows? Anyway, good work. Btw, ...

Hey Developers,
Is the toaster plugin generally accessible through the windows port? I'm just wondering because it seems all the clues were given from a *nix port. Thanks...
