Re: AMD & NV drivers - now with OpenGL 4.1 + OpenCL 1.1 supp

I still dispute your claim about it taking more clicks to do the same thing in advanced mode. I was comparing CCC2 with CCC1 rev.B The old CCC1 went through 3 revisions. The second one was the best. The third one (currently used) is much worse. Getting to the page with all settings (advanced mode) ...

Re: AMD & NV drivers - now with OpenGL 4.1 + OpenCL 1.1 supp

AMD lists that as an option of their Fusion service/software. Namely, disabling all Windows security features. I bet it also disables UAC on Vista/7. The 'AMD Fusion for Desktops' utility is already integrated into the new CCC2, but for some weird reason, the optimizations are enabled by default if...

CCC2 - worst control panel EVER !

The new AMD driver (Catalyst 10.12) is finally out and includes a preview of the brand new Catalyst Control Center 2. The drivers are very good, but CCC2 is something that you might not want on install on your PC - it's loaded with bugs The bad and the ugly: ------------------------ * No new feature...

Re: nemulator

Issues with nemulator: 1. I can't get any sound with this emulator (using a SB Audigy2 ZS with the latest kX drivers [in stereo mode]). I tested some older versions as well, same problem. nemulator is the only app/emulator with this issue. Everything else I've tried (every emulator, media player, ga...

Re: AMD & NV drivers - now with OpenGL 4.1 + OpenCL 1.1 supp

Fuck anti-aliasing. We just need ultra-high-res displays so it's not an issue. So now we have MSAA, SSAA, CFAA, CSAA and MLAA. And guess which one is the best..... No AA :D Ultra hi-res displays is *not* what we need (we already have huge-ass 30" 1600p and 50" 2160p screens). What we need...

Catalyst 10.10a brings full OpenGL 4.1 support, OpenCL 1.1 and for the first time bundles the OpenCL SDK with the graphics drivers. On top of that there are numerous bug fixes and performance improvements. 214 extensions total (with a Radeon 5000-series card) Even the Linux driver is *a lot* better ...

Log off or reboot the system. No more crap loaded on bootup :) You can always run CCC man...

Also, the reason it doesn't look as nice is ATI cards have worse texture filtering.

Does that monstrous AC Freezer heatsink perform better than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus?

(that one is also a monstrosity)

EDIT: Removed the Frostytech links. Cooler Master has even better pics on their official site :)
