Um... so a 1400x1050 for laptop users? What about 1600x1200?

Sorry. I thought that maybe Nintendo did a proper "conversion" the way Photoshop converts colors between two RGB spaces, but since there's clear evidence that that's not true, I apologize for not thinking harder.

AspiringSquire, sorry if I sound too pushy or unappreciative. I would like to repeat that I greatly appreciate your work. I'm not sure why it's considered useless to do a side-by-side comparison of NTSC and PAL NES units; I perhaps failed to clarify the idea that I have in mind. I would like to test...

As for GC games with NES games in them: Can anyone confirm the accuracy of those palettes? Does Mega Man 20th Anniversary Collection (GC) use the same NES palette as Rockman Complete Works (PS1 Jp*)? What are the title(s) and system(s) of the Konami collection(s) from which all the "(KC)" ...

I'll have to try Panic Bomber World on a copier, because I'm quite certain it won't initialize SPCRAM to ... whatever that is you posted. Panic Bomber World uses the SA-1 chip, so it won't work on a copier. I know there's a cracked ROM of Panic Bomber World, but I don't know what it's for. (The cra...

Hmmm... I seem to have an issue where ZSNES doesn't correctly change to a 256x239 resolution when loading a savestate, but it's in the Windows port. I'll post a formal bug report on this when I get a chance.

With much of the GUI code having been ported to C, I don't see a problem with this idea. This might also require adding an option to change the key used to switch between GUI and gameplay.

So I take it that AspiringSquire's palette is absolutely final at this point? Perhaps BootGod would like to post his preferred palette? As for the core issue: We already decided that if we were to continue working on this palette, we would need separate palettes for the composite-cable and RF-modula...

Pentium5.1, I sure wish I had a copier device for the NES so I could use a ROM like Loopy's, it would make things a hell of a lot easier :/ Most "amateur NES developers" modify cartridges to use EPROMs. The known NES copiers aren't very good for development. FCE Ultra's default palette ha...

One last comment: I can't remember where, but I saw a document by Chris Covell that had a palette image in it. The palette was simply designed to look good based on Chris Covell's guesses, but it had a slight gradation of brightness in the "near blacks": in order of darkest to lightest, 0E...

BootGod seems to have some disagreements with the content of your palette. I noticed that only 3 colors actually differed between the current revision and the older revision I had downloaded, so it really wasn't that much work to fix a few of my colors. (The reason I chose to average your palette wi...

AspiringSquire, when do you expect your palette to be complete? I know I'm not the same kind of NES color accuracy freak that many of the users here are, but I already used revision 3 of your palette in one of my own projects (read: averaging it with Fx3's palette and making some very minor tweaks),...

NSRT feature & bug report rule question

Should we require users to specify the -md5 switch in compatible versions of NSRT when reporting bugs? Also, would it be a good idea for NSRT to include a -sha1 switch (for displaying the SHA-1 hash in the info) for consistency with the way GoodSNES identifies ROMs?

I'm one of the few people who switched from Opera to Firefox. My original reason for going with Opera was that I wanted a browser with popup blocking and tabbed browsing (as well as better speed than IE), but Opera was too bloated/buggy. I am now a satisfied Firefox customer.

IIRC the dynamic low-pass filter is currently broken and sometimes produces a buzzing type of distortion, so it should not be used.

Savestate loading

http://www.snes9x.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1512

Part of this has already been fixed. The bug that remains is that when I load a state, the message says STATE - LOADED. (or UNABLE TO LOAD STATE -. if appropriate). That is, there is a dash where the slot number should be.

I think that might be an intentional feature of the game. Can you post an unedited screenshot of the entire game screen?

Do you have high-resolution mode 7 on in the video settings?
