sewercake, you have to buy a MicroSD card. Make sure it's a decent brand (Kingston, Sandisk, A-Data are good; Transcend is not) so things work well.

I've got an M3 Perfect SD personally, but it's bulky, and I think that slot-2 carts aren't going to last too much longer at this rate.

1.51 doesn't really have the new sound core. You'd have to compile from SVN (using zget or whatever you want) to test it, but be warned that it's still buggy. No bug reports are accepted for it either.

M3 Simply or R4. No GBA support, but whatever. Same with all other Slot-1 devices. They all use MicroSD.

If you do want GBA support, then get an M3 Lite (which uses MicroSD) and a Passcard3 (aka NoPass).

Slot-1 = DS slot, Slot-2 = GBA slot, btw.

Mine's 1680x1050, and some of my friends have 1920x1200. There's LCDs with even higher resolution than that.

I doubt you can see the difference. With CRT I definitely could, but LCDs are a different beast.
And LCDs aren't low resolution...

The only issue left with LCDs is color gamut and black not being black. Both are gonna be improved greatly with LED backlights and localized dimming.

Even with sound taking up CPU due to software mixing (the GBA has only 2 hardware sound channels), that's no excuse. Just look at Payback. Now THAT is a game that shows the power of the GBA.

I think the slowdown with the Airship is just a case of poor coding. The GBA can do a much, much better job than the SNES with Mode7.

It is Dreamcast-based, but there are a fair amount of games for it. Besides, if MAME emulates it, you'll need a 2139847GHz PC to play it.
