NSF playback in Vista 64-bit...

Post by Ichinisan »

I'm trying to play some downloaded NSF files for Super Mario Bros 3. The Foobar2000 player with GEP (Game Emulation Player) plugin sounds horrible. Something is wrong with it. When I disable the "DMC" channel, the horrible buzzing goes away, but part of the music is lost.

My system runs Windows Vista 64-bit. I'll have to find out what the sound chipset is, but I suspect it's some Realtek chipset and I know it's compliant to the HD-Audio spec.

Does anyone else have this problem with foobar2000 + GEP + NSF?

Try a rip from a different place. Some of them have corrupt DMC samples that keep looping.
