super newbie needs help (mac)

ok im wanting to just play all the old games i loved on sega and nes on my mac.(contra,mario,double dragon,ect)
im runnig mac osx
processor 800 mhz powerpc g4

i tried to put fake nes on my computer but dont know how to get the games to come up i went to load rom but there was no games.

i really dont know much about computers at all but i really want to play these old games.what should i do?

You need to download games, a.k.a. ROMs, separately. Don't ask where to find them here. Just google for them.

Also, be sure that you download the MAC versions of your emulators. For example, Snes9x for MAC.

Also, to expand on Joe's post, don't get the builds meant for the Intel Macs.
