There's drama in any sort of online community. The emulation community is not unique in that respect.

Eh, I'd say some have considerably less. I think it's more of an issue when you have a lot of intellectuals. They tend to get highly opinionated, and end up clashing with each other, and don't want to compromise. This is generally what I've seen, really.
