Place to talk about all that new hardware and decaying software you have.

Hello, it seems Opera is opening the page as a text file instead of rendering it as a page.

When you go to View > Source you get 3 characters. WTF?
Works ok in FF2 and IE6.
A server side issue I suspect.

Or maybe browser discrimination?

Just mask/identify the browser as IE for the site, so you'll be fine. This has been an issue by the host for years.

random loli edit: moved this to a place it doesn't belong less

Boy, they sure are (not)! For a while SnesGT's forums didn't work properly until recently. So, it very likely could be caused by web browser discrimination. Then again, it could be the fact that I finally switched over to FireFox 3.

It seems to be using compression without the proper response header. I never had that problem testing IIS 6 and IIS 7 in my own network, so it must be an older version with a faulty 3rd party compression module, or something.
