Noted.

I won't be working on the Docs until maybe later this week, and during next week (my Spring Break). I'm really busy with classes and school.

And currently, I'm really the only one working directly on the docs. Xamenus is still doing stuff occasionally. And you too, Nach. But not a whole lot of people working on this stuff...

Well, I'd probably explain it myself and than letter others improve it, but past experience shows no one understands my explanations :(

I'll try to get to it in the next two weeks.

I kinda hope to have most stuff done on my (documentation) to-do list by March 11.

OK, I managed to update the movie feature documentation. I'll probably add more later--I haven't mentioned MEncoder or LAME at all yet.

Nach, do you have any suggestions?

I'll have to look it over when I'm more awake. We do have a small issues of links. We need to link to mencoder and LAME, but the problem being the MPlayer site generally has an old mencoder up, and LAME doesn't give away binaries.
The free codecs site is probably good for LAME, since they don't look like they'll be disappearing any time soon.

Edit: I did some more explaining, but I think it's a far cry from dumbing it down for the average user.

About LAME, would you mind if I provided a hotlink to your fixed LAME build? Or should I link elsewhere and hope that your fix will be included in their next official release?

At the moment, I guess it should be linked to my site...

And mencoder had a release the other day, and all new features that ZSNES uses are now officialy in and all that. So linking to official mencoder site is fine.

In the docs:
Playing back a previously recorded movie will overwrite any SRAM data for the current game with the SRAM data contained in the ZMV file. This means you should back up your SRAM files when playing around with movies!!
Possibly a dumb question, but does this not apply when the "Do Not Save SRAM" option is enabled?

I'm pretty sure "Do Not Save SRAM" has priority since ZSNES only calls one function to save to SRAM.
