backstory: using windows 7.
my folder layout is like this:
Desktop \ Games \ (folders here for the different systems, in this case it's "SNES") \ data \ ("saves" for save files and "states" for save states).
anyway, save files go to "saves" but snapshots go to the "saves" folder despite me having the path written correctly. the odd thing is, it used to work before. I haven't played my roms for a couple months and coming back to them this problem started.
ZSNES won't save save states to the folder i've chosen

Just in case there's some confusion, zsnes writes ingame saves and savestates to the same destination.
