We are going to need more info that that before we can help. Read the thread at the top of this forum on how to submit a bug report.

Amm... If you made a back-up of your roms and are reading them from the cd, you won't be able to save states unless you redirect the savestate saves to another folder... That is what I can guess anyway.

ah, yes, i think joe's got my problem...but how do i redirect the savestate saves?

my saving problem isn't related to a particular ROM, it won't save state for any ROM...but here are my system specs if it'll help:

Sony VAIO
Pentium III w/ 650 MHz
127 MB RAM

Your also going to need to uncheck the read-only box so you can save to them again.

Ahh chronotrigger, brings back fond memories... What happened to the gamecube version of that game they were supposedly making?

It is not a port, nor it is being made by squarenix, it is being made by a group of fans, with a 3d engine, they plan just to "recreate" some of the key scenes of the game, not the game itself, I think I also read in their page that they were going to make a console version, but that wasn't going to see the light of public.

Sorry I can't give you the site, but some simple google would help.

Glad your problem is solved, but NEEDING save states to beat CT is just... sad.

I agree, heck they put save spots right when you fight major bosses anyway. Most the time. The only time I used savestates was when I couldn't save and had to leave.

The only time I used a savestate (1) was when fighting against the hardest form of Spekkio (the pink Nu)
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

Well... I usually use Savestates for saving endings and before long streams of story, or scenes that I like, for example the whole Glenn/Frog story.

edit: darn spelling.

i need savestates because i can't play for very long at a time (usually only about 15 mins and then i have to study). besides, i find them much more convenient than running to a save spot...SO THERE!

Thats GLENN.
2 n's not too e's
I am quite sure of it.

Chrono Trigger was one of my all time Favorites.
Right up there with Final Fantasy 2/4 and 3/6.
Traveling through time to save the world, now that is a Story.
It is SAD      that they have not made any sequels for them.

Thanks for the correction, weird that I didn't see that error myself, although it has been I while since I played CT.

Chrono Trigger has a sequel on PSX (Playstation 1). It's called Chrono Cross.

I tend to not consider Chrono Cross a sequel. I just happens to be in the same series, and share some common locations and a timeline.

I PRE-ordered it when it was first released in the US.
I still have my original copy.

I too at this point donot consider Chrono Cross to be a
TRUE SEQUEL.

Here are some links to a few Web Sites with info on this topic.
RPG Planet:
Radical Dreamers - Index
Radical Dreamers -- Background
Chrono Cross -- Index
Chrono Cross -- Chrono Cross

It is SAD   that some of the Original Chrono Triger team were
not on the Chrono Cross Team.
Like I said it was soo SAD that they never made A TRUE SEQUEL.
Chrono Cross takes place aprox. 20 years after Chrono Trigger.

The next installment is Called Chrono Break.
Lets hope it is better than Chrono Cross.
It looks like they might Never finish Chrono Break.
Corrected, Chrono Break is DEAD :!: :!:
