Hey Guys!
I have the same problem like others, that my zsnes crashes when I'm selecting the HQ filter. I've allready changed the zsnes.cfg from
hqFilter=0
; Set HQ*x level [2..4]
; Recommended min resolutions
; HQ2x = 512x448
; HQ3x = 768x672
; HQ4x = 1024x896
hqFilterlevel=2
to
hqFilter=1
; Set HQ*x level [2..4]
; Recommended min resolutions
; HQ2x = 512x448
; HQ3x = 768x672
; HQ4x = 1024x896
hqFilterlevel=4
The result was that zsnes crashed directly while it started.
I'm using a custom resolution of 1680*1050. Changing the resolution to some lower supported ones didn't help at all.
Has anyone a clue or any solution for my problem?
Thanks

Same Problem
I'm having the same problem, XP Pro SP3, ATI Radeon Video. Everything works fine until I try the HQ filters. Any fix to this yet??

I can only guess that backwards compatibility is being removed on newer drivers (same goes for NVidia as well).
Edit: Complain to ATI. They are struggling with other issues at the moment anyways (like, stuff that is majorly serious).

Re: ZSNES 1.51 crash with HQ Filter. Editing .cfg doesn't he
I am having the same issue, but with more modes. Hitting almost any filter in 1.51 crashes it instantly, occasionally with a "windows detected blah blah blah" error message.
Very frustrating as I used HQ filter extensively for Mega Man.
Windows XP SP2
nVidia GeForce GTS 250
AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+
