Super Mario World Game Saves Won't Load

I'm trying to play Super Mario World, but recently the game saves on the title screen won't load. I can still load states, but I need to load my file again. Anyone know what this could be caused by? I tried downloading different roms for the game and they all seem to have this problem now.

Does this happen for any other games? What version of zsnes are you using, and what operating system?
Maybe these people were born without that part of their brain that lets you try different things to see if they work better. --Retsupurae
