Savestating causes graphic glitches

Post by Firon »

In most games, savestating causes certain layers (or the background color) to flash colors temporarily, or for as long as you hold the savestate button . However, in Donkey Kong Kountry 3 (U), in underwater stages it screws up the background color for the duration of the stage (or if you go into a bonus area).

(on a completely unrelated note, is there any way to get ZSNES to save a filtered screenshot at your screenres, apart from using print screen?)

Oh nice, if we can fix this we might fix the randomness caused by state saving/rewinds !

I don't think so. Would you like to make this a real feature request (i.e., should we have a serious discussion about this)?

Yeah, it would be really nice if such an option was implemented. Should I make another thread for that?

I made such a feature request a while back.. it was ignored.. so no.

It couldn't be that hard to hit printscreen, hit ESC, minimize ZSNES, and paste to your favorite image editor right?

Not really (and that's what I do), though it would be a bit more convenient when making multiple screenshots.

HyperSnap DX has some nice options for that. Other programs (eg. IrfanView, PSP) might as well, I haven't checked.
