Controller acting weird

Post by Arella »

Hi to all, and first of all, sorry about my english, because I'm from Spain.

I have a Genius Maxfire Digital Force G-09D, I use WinXP and the problem is that when I try to play using the pad, after configuration and all, the character moves like crazy, even if I'm not touching the pad! I have been said that this happens when the pad isn't one that can be connected to an USB port, but I was hoping a solution.

Does anyone know about this? Thanks for reading anyway

Try centering the pad's throttle.

This step is delicate.
Go to Config->Input #1.
Choose Keyb/Joystick, press Set. Then press set Keys. If all the keys become the same thing like 'J014', then the throttle isn't centered properly.
Once you got it centered, click set keys and configure your pad for real.

Yes, I have tried that a lot of times, and usually the pad works fine for a few minutes and then goes crazy again :(

Well, make sure you're using the latest WIP version.

Does your gamepad use drivers? probably updating them could solve the problem.

Yes it does, and they are updated, I really don't know what to do... it works some minutes and then, suddenly, it goes all weird
