help running?

Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

help running?

Post by mrt2500 »

Hey guys, I'm sure you're sick of noobs like me asking dumb questions, but here's my situation. I just downloaded Final Fantasy VI and it all works great, except for the fact that I can't sprint. The button that you hold to sprint works fine for its other functions, but when you hold it and walk it just doesn't make you go faster. Does anyone know what might be the problem and what I can do to fix it?

In Final Fantasy 6 (or FF3 US), Sprinting is only available when you get the Sprint Shoes. This works by having the relic equipped.

Unlike the FF6 Advance port where you have the ability to sprint with the B button (which is what you have described), this version was not designed like that. It is not a bug, but by design.

If you want Sprinting functionality hacked in though...

Search for "Dash Button" on the page (w/o the quotes of course)

Fortunately... although I get the feeling this question was made because the guy played the Advance version first...
