Ever since updating from version 1.38 to 1.51 a pair of key combo's keeps coming back every time I restart zsnes. This occurs whether or not I click the save cfg button in the misc. menu. Has anybody else encountered this problem or know of a solution?
I've looked through the .cfg files to try deleting the combo's manually, but I can't seem to find where they're stored.

what is your path to zsnes? if zsnes doesn't have write access to its directory, it can't update config files.
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

Just remove them from within zsnes.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)

They're in the same folder as the zsnes executable, which is just off the root of a second hard drive where I store all my large files and such.odditude wrote:what is your path to zsnes? if zsnes doesn't have write access to its directory, it can't update config files.
I've done that. They come back every time I restart zsnes, which is the problem.grinvader wrote:Just remove them from within zsnes.

who is the owner of the directory? does "Everyone" have write access?

Re: Key combo's won't stay deleted
current owner is the administrators group, which my usual login is a member of. Group Everyone did not have write access, but adding that permission did not seem to fix the problem. combo's still return after zsnes restarts (other settings get saved just fine, however).
Re: Key combo's won't stay deleted
check and see if data.cmb (in the app dir) or <romname>.cmb (in the saves dir) is write-protected.
failing that, what version of Windows? we'll need that to try and duplicate.
