Two Controllers at the same time

Ok, I browsed through some of the other topics and forums and either it wasn't the same case as mine or didn't help me. Anyways, I've got two controllers, both work just fine by themselves when I play single player with the games, but when I try to play two player, it doesn't register the second controller. It's weird b/c when I go to the set keys page, it doesn't even register movements of the controller. But as I said before, it works just fine if it's controller 1. Well, any help would be appreciated, was just hoping to play a couple games 2 player. Thanks

For controller 2 select "KEYB/JOYSTICK" or whatever it says and click SET.
