usb snes controler not recognised

so my new snes usb controller arrived today. i plugged it in configured it and everything was fine, but somewhere along the way something went wrong and now it wont recognise me controler or i when i click set, then set keys, a box comes up saying (enter the key or button to use for up(esc to skip) ) and the whole thing freezes up!!!!!!! does anyone have any idea why this is happening.

if not working or your your having problem use xpadder i awesome in any dpad.
