Before submitting a bug report or asking a question here

Post by adventure_of_link »

Before you submit a bug report or question for Netplay here, be sure to do the following:

1. Read the ZSNES documentation.
2. Read the Having trouble with netplay? READ THIS! sticky. Make sure your budd(ies) read it also, provided one (or both) of you are using a firewall and/or a router..
3. Post the OS/specs of you and your budd(y|ies) computers.
4. Be sure you and your friend use the same version. (1.36 works best atm, or try 1.42n (based off 2/12/2k5 WIP with netplay))
5. Be sure to provide Internet Connections. (This includes Router and/or a firewall if you and/or your budd(y|ies) are using one)
6. Search this forum by clicking the search link at the top of the board.
7. Check your problem on the BugZilla Bug Tracker.
8. If this is about a ROM, provide relevant NSRT information in your thread.
9. If you want to make a request to netplay with someone, make it in here.
10. If this is about zConnector, ZBattle, Z-net, or (other ZSNES netplay tool here), read this.

Please do the above FIRST before posting your problem/question/etc or else your ass is grass.

EDIT: Links are now blued up, for Aerdan.

EDIT2: Bugzilla URL update; replaced Club-z with zConnector. --xamenus

<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Stickied.. If such verb exists. Now before troubleshooting, we'll send people here. I'll keep it open, but just for general suggestions that should be added to the first post. If someone asks a question that post will be deleted.

Underline those links.

No. Just colour them.

Underlining pisses me off because it detracts from the viewability of the text.

I'd say blue, since it's readable on all three available ZSNES board styles.

It may be useful to highlight 1.36 and 1.42n and link to where they can download it.

Point #5 needs to include if you are using a firewall (it is relatively important).

2. Read the Port forwarding sticky. Make sure your budd(ies) read it also.
I think that should be reworded since AntoineWG recently changed the thread's name.
