Hi there!
In Dragon Quest 5 2.01 Final (English) a small Menue with the Word MANUAL appears in the upper left corner after two or three seconds inactivity and not moving the hero, also a second window with name and stats of the hero in the lower right corner.
both windows disappear again when i move the hero.
Is this normal?
What does this "MANUAL" mean?
I have never seen someting in a RPG.
I use Snes9x

It's normal.
The "Manual" message that pops up is just a showing that you have the "Manual" setting selected in the Strategy settings.
Essentially, if something else is on there, you have it set for various AI settings.
