Problems...

This is probably a really simple problem, but I'm new. I downloaded the Tales of Phantasia ROM but when I try to play it in ZSNES it doesn't run. Is there another file I need to download or something?

If the "rom's" extension is .ips, that's not the ROM, that's the translation patch.

... You need to find the rom from another place, don't ask where.

I just ran into another problem, when i went to change the file name of the patch, there are 4 .IPS files. The names are: TOP_DX2U, TOP_GD7L, TOP_GD7U and TOP_DX2L. Which do I change?

The 4 files are slighly different patches. GD7 patches are for interleaved rom images (upper or lowercase font), while the DX2 are for the deinterleaved rom image. Try with DX2 first. Make a backup.

FYI: You can deinterleave your ROMs using NSRT.
