Hello,

My name is Jim and I also go by the name of 'Rune' at GSCentral.org. We would be interested in exchanging links with your website. With over 2.1 million game enhancer codes in our database, this means that you will be receiving many links pointing back to your main website from all across ours.

We receive roughly 1000~2000 unique hits daily from visitors looking for the latest Codebreaker, Game Genie, Pro Action Replay, and GameShark codes. Our overall hits are currently increasing due to our strong recent efforts to promote GSCentral across the Internet. We typically receive between 40 000 and 70 000 page views per day.

Please contact me as soon as possible to arrange a link exchange.

Hey... I visit there often. Like he says it's a good place for cheats of all sorts. But I'm just curious what kind of "people" would be sent our way with said links. We get enough of "zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator)" all the time without help.

The "zsnes" thing isn't as bad as the "GIVE ROM SITEZ PLOX!!". Making ZSNES more popular might sound good but as you said I'm not sure if we want that kind of traffic. I guess it's up to the devs.

I'm new, but I know that promoting things that allow for illegal activity isn't always a good idea

I'm sorry, but the ZSNES devs aren't promoting anything illegal.

Is this one of those cases where we say "Only use roms if you have a solid copy"?

We generally discourage the trade of ROMs when the person does not own the game. If a person wants to find a ROM to play, it isn't difficult to find it within ten minutes.

Codes can be used to bring new life to older games or to cheat. It is up to the individual to decide how to play their game.

Good luck. I asked if there could be a link to my site years ago, and I was even a mod on this forum. Now, I simply could care less. Zsnes is still the emulator of choice for Snes Central.

It's one of this cases in which the creator is not responsible for the misuse of the creation a third person can do with it.

It's not the responsability of the developers, who are working in a program with the intention to make it as close as the real thing, that someone else is downloading ROMs without owing a physical copies.

Even if the stance of owning or not owning of physical games is enough to warrant a "virtual" copy can be debunk, the issue here is that ZSNES and their developers DON'T promote illegal activity in anyway, take a look at this:

1) Asking for ROM direct transferings is forbidden.
2) They don't give access to ROMs in this site.
3) Asking for links to ROM sites is also forbidden, with penalty of ban, even if it's not enforce (The penalty), the rule is still enforced.

That's true. I guess one could also say that the development is for interest's sake, not for the promotion of ROM playing

Thanks. It is most unfortunate that it seems that the potential of the partnership isn't being fully realized but, as you said, ZSNES is still one of the finest emulators out there.

wtf? did you build a time machine or something? it took you over two months to respond!? what the fuck man. now you're definately not getting a link! besides, zsnes does not belong among the low life rom sites in your 'partners'. rom sites pfft, can anyone stoop any lower? besides, this would be a pretty much one sided partnership. I mean who hasn't heard of zsnes? we'd gain 0 traffic from your site while you gain plenty for all your rom voting and rom whore websites. nigga plz.

This marks almost four more months before a reply!

Yes, I have been busy. GSCentral is now ranked 101,288 on Alexa, and we are determined to be in the top 50 000 in the world in the next 6 months. It is a shame that you have solely decided for the administration that GSCentral isn't growing. (I suppose gaining 4000 ranks in a week is far too slow.)

I hope for ZSNES' sake that you have no association with their main website.

Look, nobody cares. One would think you'd have gotten the hint by now.
