Hmm. I already saw that issue on another forum. I think it's somewhat related to the previous bork, i.e. ghost posts.

Basically, the last page has no real posts, but it has some weird empty ones.

I usually find that what happens is that threads keep a seperate count of posts in a thread, instead of using 'SELECT COUNT' every time you need to get the number of posts in a thread.

Sometimes the counts get out of sync.

happens on vbforums too, but vbforums just redirects you to the last valid page of the topic.
