Wii Classic Controller on PC -without- using Bluetooth?

I was browsing Ebay and saw a weird third party corded version of the Classic Controller for Wii that had a gamecube connector instead of the one that connects to the Wii-mote (and start and select became turbo/slow), and I got to thinking, would it be possible to make something like that but with a USB plug instead? Probably a dumb idea, but I'd bet -someone- out there would know how to make it.
